Mo Costello is an artist and educator drawn to the social life of objects. Mo’s working practice revolves around the maintenance of small-scale, community supported infrastructure for the visual and performing arts. A recent recipient of residencies from Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2022), Denniston Hill (2024) and Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (2024), Mo lives in Athens, GA.

With artist and writer Katz Tepper, I am guest-curating a Beverly Buchanan exhibition in Athens, GA focused on Buchanan's Athens period. The project was recently awarded a 2024 Teiger Foundation Award and the exhibition will open in January, 2026 at the University of Georgia’s Athenaeum. We are additionally co-editing a book drawing from our research, forthcoming Spring 2026 with Soberscove Press.
